Are you someone who has been...

✔️ Staring at a blank page because you have no idea how to start your cover letter

✔️ Trying to squeeze everything you've done into one page

✔️ Wondering how to explain why your experience actually makes sense for this particular role

✔️ Spending hours writing and rewriting because you're not sure what to include

Then a Cover Letter Strategy & Review might be exactly what you need.

Museum professionals often have so much they could say in a cover letter that figuring out what to focus on becomes the hardest part. You might struggle to promote yourself, repeat what's already on your resume, or list responsibilities without making a clear connection to what the employer needs.

And when you've worked across departments, managed projects that don't fit neatly into your job title, developed transferable skills in seemingly unrelated positions, or taken a nonlinear career path, that connection can be even harder to make. A strong cover letter helps a hiring manager visualize you in the role.

This service gives you a strategy for breaking down what the employer is looking for, choosing the experiences that best demonstrate what you bring, and making a compelling case for how you could contribute.

We Work Together Asynchronously:

No 1:1 Zoom meeting required! You'll send me the job description, your resume, your application deadline, and a few details about the opportunity you're pursuing.

I'll break down the job description to identify what the employer is prioritizing and help you determine which experiences, skills, and examples will make the strongest case in your letter.

You'll then receive a personalized strategy document that guides you through developing your cover letter, including what to emphasize and how to structure your argument.

Once you've written your initial draft, I'll provide strategic feedback and edits to strengthen the connections, structure, and overall message.

Recent Testimonials

"I got an interview from the Smithsonian after submitting my new resume and I feel like that's what finally set me apart. I've applied to the Smithsonian at least 20 times and never got an interview before!"  - Jada F.

"I am just sitting down to open these documents you sent and I am in AWE!!! WOW! After our meeting and reviewing these documents, I'm looking at my resume and cover letter in a different light. I have started to see how I need them to work for me. They are so much more than just tooting your own horn. I haven't treated them with the respect they deserve. I feel better about sitting down to write them."
