Your resume is more than simply a list of what you've done: it should help an employer understand how you did the work and why it matters.

Museum professionals often have experience that is difficult to capture on a resume. Maybe you've worn five different hats in one position, worked across departments, built skills through internships and volunteer work, or have responsibilities and accomplishments that don't match your job title.

This service helps you dig into your experience, identify what matters for the roles you're pursuing, and strengthen how you communicate it on your resume.

This service may be helpful if...

✔️ You're applying but aren't getting the response you'd hoped for

✔️ You're struggling to figure out what experience belongs on your resume

✔️ Your resume describes what you did, but doesn't fully show the scope or impact of your work

✔️ You're moving toward a different type or level of museum role and aren't sure how to position your experience

✔️You know there's more to your experience than what's currently coming through

How this Service Works:

Before our session: I'll review your current resume along with information about the types of roles you're pursuing so I can identify questions, gaps, and areas we should dig into together.

During our 75-minute session: We'll work through your experience, identify what's most relevant, and talk through the responsibilities, skills, accomplishments, and strengths that may not be fully represented on your current resume.

After our session: I'll use what we've uncovered to refine your resume, strengthen how your experience is communicated, and provide guidance for adapting it to future opportunities.

Recent Testimonials

"I got an interview from the Smithsonian after submitting my new resume and I feel like that's what finally set me apart. I've applied to the Smithsonian at least 20 times and never got an interview before!"  - Jada F.

"I am just sitting down to open these documents you sent and I am in AWE!!! WOW! After our meeting and reviewing these documents, I'm looking at my resume and cover letter in a different light. I have started to see how I need them to work for me. They are so much more than just tooting your own horn. I haven't treated them with the respect they deserve. I feel better about sitting down to write them."
